CHAFFEE -- Monroe White, 79, of Ste. Genevieve, died Monday, May 2, 1994, at his home.

He was born Oct. 12, 1914, at Chaffee, son of William H. and Charlotte Carter White. He and Pauline Burns were married Oct. 16, 1937. He and Annalee Laney were married in 1961.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jerry White of Los Angeles, Calif., Hubert White of Neosho, James White of Alexandria, La., Gary White of Wood River, Ill.; four daughters, Vella Robison of Jackson, Lavonda Free of Carrollton, Ga., Marilyn Foster of Cape Girardeau, Debra Grimes of Grand Junction, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Mary Hemlich of St. Louis; a stepson, Patrick Laney of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and three stepgrandchildren.

Basler Funeral Home at Ste. Genevieve was in charge of arrangements.
