ZALMA, Mo. -- Modean Belle Lingle, 90, of Zalma passed away Oct. 4, 2013, at the Advance Nursing Center in Advance, Mo.
Modean was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Gipsy, Mo., daughter of Elbert and Ruth Clubb Schrader. She and Loy Lingle were united in marriage in March 1946 at Advance. He preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1973.
Modean was retired from the Zalma R-5 schools and had been a homemaker. She was a member of Zalma General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Larry (Donna) Lingle of St. Louis, Barry (Debbie) Lingle of Zalma and Aaron (Donna) Lingle of Advance; three sisters, Pauline Fowler, Gail Schrader and Betty Humphreys, all of St. Louis; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Dale.
Visitation was Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery near Zalma.
