SIKESTON -- Minta B. Hubbard, 80, of Sikeston, died Friday, April 8, 1994, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1914, at Chaffee, daughter of Grover C. and Laura Schwatman Blocker. She and Van Allen Hubbard were married June 14, 1932. He died May 7, 1987...

SIKESTON -- Minta B. Hubbard, 80, of Sikeston, died Friday, April 8, 1994, at her home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1914, at Chaffee, daughter of Grover C. and Laura Schwatman Blocker. She and Van Allen Hubbard were married June 14, 1932. He died May 7, 1987.

Hubbard moved here 39 years ago from St. Louis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Methodist Women's Society, Garden Lawn Club, and PEO Chapter HB.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Colbert of Sikeston, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild and brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Gary A. Carter will officiate.
