MINNIE HOWELL

DELTA -- Minnie Howell, 77, of Delta died Friday, Dec. 22, 1995, at her home.

She was born Nov. 22, 1918, at Caruthersville, daughter of James Anthony McGee and Lela Taylor McGee. On Oct. 6, 1933, she married Alvin Howell, who survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of the General Baptist Church of Randles.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Howell of Delta and Tony Howell of Scott City; five daughters, Shirley Diggs and Barbara Freeman, both of Delta, Peggy Bramlett of Jacksonville, Fla., Demitra Lyons of Bryant, Texas, and Diane Serrano of Yermo, Calif.; a brother, R.T. McGee of Rico; a sister, Katherine Gaines of Oklahoma City; 26 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Larry Vance will officiate, and burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
