MOREHOUSE -- Minnie M. Flowers, 89, of Morehouse died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 14, 1910, in Belgique, daughter of George and Emma L'Hote Christian. She and Duel E. Flowers were married July 15, 1947. He died June 3, 1951.
Flowers had lived in Morehouse since 1948. She had taught school, worked at International Shoe Co., and retired as a seamstress with Charles Todd and Co. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Hopkins of Morehouse, Pamela Harris of Sikeston; two sisters, Hazel Gerak and Catherine Christisen of St. Louis; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse from 5-8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Church, with Msgr. William J. Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
