Minnie Lee Treece Crumpecker, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 1, 1919, in Decatur, Tenn., to Isaac C. and Lula Boyer Treece. She and H.R. Crumpecker were married Sept. 25, 1954, in Benton, Mo.
Minnie was a member of the Church of Christ in Blodgett, Mo. She enjoyed gardening, canning foods and cross-stitching.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail (Jerry) Hoffman of Cape Girardeau; a brother, George Treece of Millersville; three sisters, Nola Edwards of New Madrid, Mo., and Dora Kalb and Shirley Carter of Benton; and three grandchildren, Callie (Mark) Welker of Cape Girardeau, Clinton Hoffman of Memphis, Tenn., and Mindy Hoffman of Vail, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.R. Crumpecker Jr. in November 1999; three brothers; and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Greene officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
