OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. — Milton A. Pecord, 96, of Olive Branch died at 3:55 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 10, 1920, in Miller City, Illinois, the son of Milton B. and Mary Lena Hornberger Pecord. He married Virginia Ronnebeck on Dec. 21, 1937. She preceded him in death Jan. 6, 2015...

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. — Milton A. Pecord, 96, of Olive Branch died at 3:55 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 10, 1920, in Miller City, Illinois, the son of Milton B. and Mary Lena Hornberger Pecord. He married Virginia Ronnebeck on Dec. 21, 1937. She preceded him in death Jan. 6, 2015.

Milton worked as a farmer and feed salesman. He worked for Moorman Feed in Southern Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee, and owned and operated hunting clubs all his life. He was a member and deacon at Lake Milligan Baptist Church in Miller City.

He is survived by his daughters, Deanna Hill and Helen Jo (Bobby) Jones, both of Olive Branch; five grandchildren, Mark (Geinger) Hill, Matt (Kayla) Jones, Amanda (Frank) Pace, Ashley (Nick) Swoboda and Nathan Jones; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Ethan Hill and Breonna and Connor Pace; sisters-in-law, Beverly Pecord, Doris Dickerson and Ida Thomas; and a brother-in-law, John Ronnebeck.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Pecord; grandson, Kent Hill; brother, Gene Pecord; and son-in-law, Kenneth Hill.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Revs. Larry Buckles and Bruce Clubb officiating. Interment will be at Olive Branch Cemetery.
