Milton Herman (Funny) Nothdurft, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Jackson, son of Simon Franklin and Jessie Mae Limbaugh Nothdurft. He and June E. Martin were married Jan. 20, 1944.

He graduated from Jackson High School and was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was at Hickam Air Field, Hawaii, when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. After the war, he was a self-employed contractor, specializing in plastering and carpentry. He later worked as a plasterer for the Drury Co.

Survivors include his wife and a son, Lawrence Nothdurft of Jefferson City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Graveside serviced will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. John Rice officiating.
