SIKESTON -- Milton Carlock Jr., 74, of Sikeston died Sunday, March 3, 1996, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 21, 1921, at Senatobia, Miss., son of Milton and Mary Carlock. He and Nellie Carter were married Feb. 3, 1946.
Carlock had lived in Missouri since 1959. He was a farm laborer and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors are his wife; five sons, Johnny Carlock of Sikeston, Raymond Carlock and Joe Carlock, both of Memphis, Tenn., Lavern Carlock and Maurice Carlock, both of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Margaret Williams and Dorothy Carlock, both of Sikeston, and Alice Crawford of Detroit; five sisters, Irma Carlock and Edna DeBerry, both of Memphis, Havilla Allen of Wichita Falls, Texas, Eureka Ramsey of Chicago and Mildred Brown of Lake Forrest, Calif.; two brothers, James Carlock and Raymond Carlock, both of Memphis; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the Traveler's Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Sylvester Morgan will officiate, with burial in the Smith West End Cemetery in Sikeston.
