ADVANCE, Mo. -- Milford Leil Redman, 82, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 6, 1936, at Bell City, Missouri, the son of Joe and Jewell Rhodes Redman. Milford and Ina Cates were united in marriage Sept. 3, 1989, in Reno, Nevada, and she survives of the home.
In his early years Milford had been a carpenter building homes. He owned Redman's Riding Arena. He enjoyed his quarterhorses and running all of the timed events, such as pole bending and barrel racing.
Milford owned and operated four trucking companies during his working years. He also owned and operated Advance Cycle for several years.
He had a passion for woodworking of any kind, and hunting was a favorite hobby. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Okeechobee, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Redman; two daughters, Phyllis Redman of Florida and Donna Carpenter of Advance; three grandsons, Kyle Carpenter of Advance, Derrick (Katie) Carpenter of Jackson and Dylan (Hannah) Carpenter of Jackson; a granddaughter, Natalie (Francisco) Arteaga of Florida; two great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter; and a stepdaughter, Robin (Tim) Nessler of Advance.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Bea Stauffer, Georgia Bollinger, Melba Cook and Jeanie Redman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Mathews officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
