BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Milford G. Winders, Bertrand Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Ted Wimberly will officiate, with burial in Blodgett Cemetery.
Winders, 75, died Sunday, April 3, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born May 7, 1918, in Blodgett, son of John and Nannie Fritts Winders. He and Elvada Hill were married May 3, 1941, in Cape Girardeau.
Winders had worked for Sikeston Public Schools. He was a charter member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Kenneth Winders of Collierville, Tenn., John Winders of Southport, N.C., Jeff Winders of Rolla; a brother, Milam Winders of Wickliffe, Ky.; two sisters, Lee E. Lee of Bertrand, Mildred Nuckles of Sikeston; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
