Milford Wesley Adams, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21, 1921, at Arbor, son of Sherman and Cora Benfield Adams. He and Pansy Boyer were married Feb. 14, 1945, in Cape Girardeau. She died June 5, 1994.
Adams worked at Monroe Glass 10 years, and at Edgewater Glass more than 30 years. He coached Little League baseball 20 years.
He served with the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Adams of Cape Girardeau, Roger Adams of Houston, Texas, Terry Adams of Kansas City, Richard Adams of Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Jean Godwin of Jackson, Brenda Bradley of Galesburg, Ill.; a brother, Vernon Adams of Lake of the Ozarks; a sister, Mildred Walton of Eldorado, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Kevin Roberts and Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
