Miles James Lincoln, 84, of Millersville died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Elder Care of Marble Hill, Mo.
He was born May 18, 1921, at Scopus, Mo., son of Miles O. and Ruth Adeline Long Lincoln. He and Ethel Imogene Crites were married Oct. 2, 1946.
Lincoln retired as a machinist at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He received three Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald Lincoln Sr. of Glenallen, Mo., Randy Lincoln of Whitewater; two daughters, Joyce Lemons of Marble Hill, Carol Falgier of St. Louis; five brothers, Duel Lincoln of Marble Hill, Ralph and Gerald Lincoln of Scopus, Mo., Floyd and Kenneth Lincoln of Millersville; two sisters, Pauline Statler of Valley Park, Mo., Lorene Walters of Jackson, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven sisters and four brothers.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery at Scopus with military rites by Missouri Honors Team.
