Mildred M. Vaughn, 95, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Advance, Mo., daughter of the late Ora Jessie and Nellie Belle McKinney James.
Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Cape First Church.
Mildred and Earl Vaughn were united in marriage March 11, 1933, at Marble Hill, Mo. He preceded her in death Sept. 10, 1970.
Survivors include three sons, Weldon (Lois) Vaughn of Lafayette, Ind., Winford (Wilma) Vaughn of Edina, Mo., the Rev. Linus (Karen) Vaughn of Denton, Texas; a daughter, Jeanette (Gilbert) Wooldridge of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Naaman James of Dittmer, Mo.; a sister, Lucy Master of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Brothers and the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
Pallbearers will be Craig Wooldridge, Terrence Vaughn, Trennis Vaughn, Tracy Vaughn, Weldon F. Vaughn and Tyler Vaughn.
