Mildred E. Masterson Trickey, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 6, 1911, at Oriole, daughter of Henry Elijah and Bessie Leona Young Masterson. She and Lloyd Trickey were married Aug. 9, 1930, at Jackson. He died Sept. 22, 1976.
The family moved to Cape Girardeau in 1938 from Oriole. She was an Avon representative 14 years.
She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, Wimodausis Sunday School Class and Wimodausis Club; VFW Auxiliary, National Association of Retired Federal Employees Auxiliary, and West Side Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Trickey of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Nina Heise of Egypt Mills; three grandchildren, Christina Kuehn of Jackson, Taylor Thorne and Tanner Thorne of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Kimberly Kuehn and Kari Kuehn of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Masterson, Bill Trickey, George McLaird, Larry Trickey, Bob Vines and Joe Mike Masterson.
