Mildred B. Rhyne, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born March 31, 1911, at Oran, Mo., daughter of William and Anna Wagner Besel. She and Frank Rhyne were married May 13, 1941, at Poplar Bluff, Mo. He died Dec. 17, 1946.
Rhyne was a secretary in the Federal Building many years, retiring from the office of Bill Burleson in 1980. She had also been manager at Milady's Shoppe. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the Women's Democratic Club.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Wright of Florissant, Mo.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cape County Memorial Park Gazebo. The Rev. Clayton Smith will officiate.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
