Mildred Pickens Thomas O'Neal, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 25, 2007, at St. Anthony Hospice House in St. Louis.
She was born July 17, 1915, at Bloomfield, Mo., daughter of Edward and Mary Ann Tanner Pickens. She and Leonard Thomas were married Feb. 3, 1933, in New Madrid, Mo. He died June 2, 1976. She and Edward O'Neal were married. He preceded her in death in 1989.
O'Neal was a member of Hobbs Chapel.
Survivors include three sons, Dick Thomas (Shirley) of Cape Girardeau, Ralph (Jean) Thomas of Montgomery, Texas, Leonard (Joan) Thomas of St. Louis.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
O'Neal was the owner of Len-Mil Drapery for over 30 years. She volunteered at Saint Francis Hospital and was a member of Saint Francis Auxiliary, making quilts for babies and Hurricane Katrina victims. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Royal Neighbors.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan Greene officiating. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
