ANNA, Ill. -- Mildred Landis Trove, 84, of Tilden, formerly of Anna, died Monday, March 1, 1993, at Sparta Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1908, in Union County, daughter of Albert and Libby Hubbs Nimmo. She married Willie Landis, who died in 1952. She later married Robert Trove in 1953, and he died in 1992...

ANNA, Ill. -- Mildred Landis Trove, 84, of Tilden, formerly of Anna, died Monday, March 1, 1993, at Sparta Community Hospital.

She was born Aug. 14, 1908, in Union County, daughter of Albert and Libby Hubbs Nimmo. She married Willie Landis, who died in 1952. She later married Robert Trove in 1953, and he died in 1992.

Trove attended Tilden Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Rev. A.W. Landis of Dongola; four daughters, Ruby Middleton and Roberta Middleton of Anna, Betty Gibbs of Jonesboro, Barbara Fisher of Dongola; 13 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Dongola. The Rev. Verlee Eaker will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today, and until service time Thursday.
