STURDIVANT -- Mildred Elizabeth Swindell, 87, of Jefferson City, formerly of Sturdivant, died Wednesday, June 22, 1994, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born Feb. 21, 1907, at Zalma, daughter of Ben and Alice Green Bollinger. She and Buel Swindell were married Jan. 18, 1925, at Sturdivant. He died Nov. 26, 1936...

STURDIVANT -- Mildred Elizabeth Swindell, 87, of Jefferson City, formerly of Sturdivant, died Wednesday, June 22, 1994, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

She was born Feb. 21, 1907, at Zalma, daughter of Ben and Alice Green Bollinger. She and Buel Swindell were married Jan. 18, 1925, at Sturdivant. He died Nov. 26, 1936.

Swindell was a member of First Christian Church in Jefferson City, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 509 at Zalma.

Survivors include two daughters, Vivian DeLong of Jefferson City, Maxine May of Advance; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Price officiating. Burial will be in Old Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
