BENTON -- Funeral service for Mildred Dick of rural Benton will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Dolan Rogers and Ted Wimberley will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. today.
Dick, 82, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997, at the home of a daughter in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 21, 1914, at East Prairie, daughter of Hollie and Ethel Mayberry. She was reared by Susie Aycock. She married Raymond Dick July 7, 1934. He died Feb. 1, 1984.
Dick was a member of Savannah Baptist Church near Blodgett.
Survivors include a son, Shirley Dick of St. Louis; a daughter, Freda Whiteside of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
