COBDEN, Ill. -- Mildred Chapman, 85, of Cobden, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 1995, at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born Oct. 29, 1909, in Martinsville, daughter of T.P. and Celia Craig Donovan. She and Arthur G. Chapman were married Sept. 10, 1965. He died May 10, 1978...

COBDEN, Ill. -- Mildred Chapman, 85, of Cobden, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 1995, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Oct. 29, 1909, in Martinsville, daughter of T.P. and Celia Craig Donovan. She and Arthur G. Chapman were married Sept. 10, 1965. He died May 10, 1978.

Chapman was a retired banker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cobden, and Union County Republican Women's Club.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Kathleen Kahoon of Dandridge, Tenn.; a niece, Diane McHenry of Westfield, and five stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Ryman officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville.
