MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mildred Marie Chaney, 83, of Marble Hill died Monday, April 18, 2005, at Elder Care.
She was born April 24, 1921, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of James Henry and Nora Ann Baker Woodfin. She and James L. Chaney were married May 12, 1956, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death.
Chaney had been a cook in a nursing home. She moved to Marble Hill in 1988 from Imperial, Mo. She was a member of Bethesda General Baptist Church at Imperial and had been a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include a son, Bill Irwin of Imperial; a daughter, Patricia Fowler of Sturgeon, Mo.; a brother, Floyd Woodfin of South Roxana, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and four brothers.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from 4 p.m. until service time today.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the chapel, with Henry Eaker officiating.
Friends may also call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Heiligtag Funeral Home in Arnold, Mo.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Heiligtag. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Lemay, Mo.
