JACKSON -- Mildred J. Albert, 76, of Jackson, died Friday, July 26, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 7, 1915, at Portageville, daughter of Charles and Amy Belle Carnahan Johnson. She married Walter Albert Aug. 24, 1935, at Benton. He died in 1972.
Albert worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. 19 years. She then worked at the Baptist Children's Home in Salem, Va., 12 years. She retired in 1980 and moved back to Jackson. She was a member of West Side Church of God in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Jerry T. Albert of Idyllwild, Calif.; two daughters, June Pender of Jackson, Judith Piper of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Robert Johnson of Belleville, Ill., John Johnson of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Delaphine Thompson of Sedgewickville, Lora Crites of St. Louis; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at West Side Church of God. The Rev. Jerry Webb will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
