Milda Scott, 84, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Ghent, Ky., to John and Marrie "Mary" Simpson Johnson. She and William K. Scott were married in 1939. He passed away in 1973.
Milda worked for Fannie Farmer Candies in Cincinnati, Ohio, and as a waitress and cashier at the former Kaintukee Grill in Florence, Ky. She had lived with her son and daughter-in-law in Jackson since 1995.
She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ at Tilsit.
Loving survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Sally Scott of Jackson; a granddaughter, Kristy (Josh) Carr of Jackson; and two great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Aaron Carr.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. James United Church of Christ in Tilsit.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the church cemetery, with the Rev. James K. Schultz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. James United Church of Christ or Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation.
