FROHNA, Mo. -- Milda I. Lorenz, 79, of Frohna died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 24, 1925, at Frohna, daughter of Anton and Esther Mueller Petzoldt. She and Arnold Lorenz were married Oct. 9, 1948.
Lorenz was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and past choir member and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary to Post 133 and VFW Auxiliary to Post 4282.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Lorenz of Jackson; a daughter, Grace Zahner of Perryville, Mo.; eight sisters, Nelda Boren of Cape Girardeau, Norma McLain of Augusta, Ga., Lillian Vogel of Chino, Calif., Vera Vogel and Darlene Bachmann of Frohna, Mildred Krueger of Palatine, Ill., Doris Gates of Bellevue, Wash., Arlene James of Jackson; a brother, Gilbert Petzoldt of Monrovia, Calif.; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
