Mildred "Midge" L. Miget, 95, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at Lutheran Home, where she lived. She was born July 29, 1924, daughter of Harvey and Irene Hill Seabaugh. She and Berton T. Miget were married Jan. 31, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death June 27, 1993...

Mildred "Midge" L. Miget, 95, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at Lutheran Home, where she lived.

She was born July 29, 1924, daughter of Harvey and Irene Hill Seabaugh.

She and Berton T. Miget were married Jan. 31, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death June 27, 1993.

Midge proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged in December 1945.

She retired from Procter & Gamble Aug. 3, 1984. She was a member of Maple United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and also was a regular blood donor. Midge always had a willingness to help others.

Loving survivors include nine nieces and nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews and many other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, R.T. Seabaugh, who was lost at sea during World War II in the submarine USS Runner on July 11, 1943; and sisters, Grace Dolle and Dorothy Wood.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Boettcher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Red Cross, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
