ST. LOUIS -- Michelle Marie Blumenthal, 20, of St. Louis passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008.

She was born July 11, 1988, in St. Louis, to Mike and Alice McSpadden Blumenthal.

Michelle was a 2007 graduate of Hancock Place High School in St. Louis County and was employed at the bookstore at St. Louis Community College in Kirkwood.

Immediate survivors include her beloved daughter, Madison Marie Blumenthal-Sanders and her parents, Mike and Alice Blumenthal all of St. Louis.

Paternal survivors include her grandparents, Martin and Gladys Blumenthal of St. Louis; great-grandmother, Irene King of Jackson; uncles George Blumenthal and John Blumenthal of Imperial, Mo., and Doug Blumenthal of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; several great-aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.

Maternal survivors include her grandparents, Ron and Dianne Singler of St. Louis; uncles Michael McSpadden of Illinois, Jason McSpadden of St. Louis and Ronnie Singler of St. Louis; an aunt, Christina Parker of Illinois; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Christopher M. Blumenthal, on May 19, 2003.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Blumenthal officiating. Burial will be at High Hill Cemetery near Neelys Landing.

The family has established a fund to benefit little Madison. Checks may be made to the Madison Marie Blumenthal Fund and sent to First Community Credit Union, P.O. Box 1030, Chesterfield, Mo. 63006-1030. Contributions will also be received at the funeral home.
