MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Michael Dueward Welker, 62, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Marble Hill, son of Dueward and Rose Marie Kuehn Welker. He and Esther Pauline Peters were married Jan. 25, 1969, at St. John's Church in Leopold, Mo.
Mr. Welker served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a machine operator at Dana Corp.
Survivors include his wife Esther; a daughter, Michele Lynn Welker of Altenburg, Mo.; a brother, Larry Welker of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Patricia Welker of Marble Hill; and a grandson, Bryson Michael Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Richard Paul.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
