Michael David Stoffel, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 12, 1954, in Cape Girardeau to Bill D. and Nancy J. Vaughn Stoffel.
He graduated in 1972 from Chaffee High School, where he ran track and played basketball.
He was an avid collector of Coca-Cola merchandise and steins. He loved woodworking, crafts and listening to music.
Michael worked with his father at Bill's Repair & Remodeling more than 30 years, retiring in 2009 because of ill health.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 3775 in Cape Girardeau 34 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura (Brad) Goodman of Cape Girardeau; parents, Bill D. and Nancy J. Stoffel of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Rick D. Stoffel of Cape Girardeau; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with Eagles Aerie No. 3775 services at 6:30 p.m.
Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Stoner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Crown Hospice.
