Michael David Reynolds, 49, of Christiana, Tenn., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
He was born March 20, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, to Jerry L. and Lillie "Lil" Propst Reynolds.
Michael was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.
After graduating from Central High School, he served four years in the U.S. Army.
He then moved to Tennessee and lived in Nashville and Christiana more than 20 years. He worked for Raynor Overhead Door Co. in Murfreesboro more than 20 years.
Michael fought a courageous battle with lung cancer the past couple years, and is now with the Lord.
Survivors include his father, Jerry L. Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Lillie "Lil" Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Scott Reynolds of Cape Girardeau and Lt. Col. Mark (Shaina) Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a nephew, Nicholas Ian Reynolds of Colorado Springs; and his longtime companion, Chong Struck, and her daughter, Tina Struck.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to Red Star Baptist Church Food Pantry.
