Michael Liley

GRASSY, Mo. -- Michael Dane Liley, 67, of Grassy passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, son of Lyndall and Jean Daphine Kirkpatrick Liley. He and Laura Barnett were united in marriage May 16, 1992.

Michael retired from the Cape Girardeau County Assessor's Office in 2016. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Grassy Friendship Church.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Liley of the home; parents Lyndall and Daphine Liley of Jackson; sons, Jason (Katy) Liley of Jackson and Wesley (Holly) Borgfield of Gordonville; daughters, Alisha (Nathan) Turley of Jackson and Wendy Wilson of Chaffee, Missouri; brother, Rodney (Karen) Liley of Evansville, Indiana; sisters, Lisa (Steve) Hanschen of Fruitland and Sandy (Brent) Eastman of Cape Girardeau; and 11 grandchildren, Conner Borgfield, Mikala Liley, Kiera Borgfield, Dawson Borgfield, Rhet Liley, Kannen Turley, Mason Turley, Riley Wilson, Evan Turley, Ryan Wilson and Jayna Borgfield.

A family-only memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
