SIKESTON, Mo. -- Michael Edward LeGrand, 49, of Rockwall, Texas, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas.

He was born Feb. 1, 1962, in Sikeston, to Emil "Tony" and Mary Frances Bollinger LeGrand.

LeGrand was of the Catholic faith. He was a stock clerk at Lowes and was also a musician. He was a bass guitarist and sound technician for several bands in the Dallas area.

Survivors include his parents of Sikeston; a brother, Christopher LeGrand of Evanston, Ill.; a sister, Linda Cossiboom of Nashville, Tenn.; and two nieces, Ashley and Morgan Cossiboom of Nashville.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley LeGrand.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Glenn Eftink, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Sikeston, officiating. Cremation will follow, with disposition of cremains to occur at a later date.
