Graveside service for Michael J. Koontz of St. Louis will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Cape County Memorial Park. The Rev. James Sanderson will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Koontz, 47, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, in St. Louis.
He was born June 12, 1952, in St. Louis, son of Daniel E. and Charlotte K. Kellett Koontz.
Koontz was a graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He owned and operated a dog grooming business in St. Louis. He was a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his mother, Kay Murphy of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Thomas Koontz of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Julie Koontz of Jackson; and maternal grandmother, Callie Kellett of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his father.
