Michael Shawn Killian, 53, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 31, 2022, at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1968, in Bethesda, Maryland, to William Leo and Elizabeth Anne Brannock Killian.
Michael was a 1987 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked as a sous-chef for Chateau Girardeau food services. Prior to that he was director of catering at Show Me Center.
Survivors include his brother, John (Mary Ann) Killian of Jackson; sister, Diana (Jeff) Wahl of St. Louis; uncle, Kevin (Susan) Brannock of St. Charles, Missouri; aunt and uncle, Cherryl and Mike Good of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews, Morgan Wahl of Washington, D.C., and Jarad Wahl of St. Louis and Dawn and Shawn Killian of Jackson; and many cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Deacon Mark Kiblinger officiating.
