CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Michael Huey, 61, of Chaffee died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 22, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Joel and Avis Lorene Mansker Huey. He and Hope Marie Kennedy were married Sept. 17, 1988...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Michael Huey, 61, of Chaffee died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 22, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Joel and Avis Lorene Mansker Huey.

He and Hope Marie Kennedy were married Sept. 17, 1988.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver, working for Jerry Lipps Trucking in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee, Chaffee VFW Post 3127, Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810, was past master of Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615, and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Free Masonry Valley of St. Louis.

Survivors include, his wife; four sons, Michael Huey Jr., Charles C. Hue, and Tim Huey, all of Cape Girardeau, Charles M. Huey of Chaffee; three brothers, Joel Huey of Scott City, Kenny Huey of Marble Hill, Mo., Steve Huey of Perkins, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m., a Rose Croix service at 7:15 p.m., and an Elks service at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating.

Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee with full military honors.
