META MAE PROBST

JACKSON -- Meta Mae Probst, 87, of Jackson died Saturday, June 15, 1996, at the Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Sept. 18, 1908, at Yount, daughter of Thomas Christian and Dora Etta Lee Eugas. She and Pertle Probst were married Nov. 28, 1935, at Jackson.

Probst was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cape Girardeau. She was a registered nurse and had worked at both St. Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was also a school nurse for both the Cape Girardeau and Jackson public schools.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Margery Heard of Porterville, Calif.; a sister, Mildred Taylor of Quincy, Ill.; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Andrew Laudie officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
