META L. CRAIN

ADVANCE -- Meta Lucille Crain, 77, of Advance, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1993, at Clayton House Care Center in Ballwin. She was born May 14, 1916, near Advance, daughter of Richard and Attie Caldwell Sheldon. She and L.R. "Pete" Crain were married May 5, 1934, in Advance. He died Oct. 17, 1991...

ADVANCE -- Meta Lucille Crain, 77, of Advance, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1993, at Clayton House Care Center in Ballwin.

She was born May 14, 1916, near Advance, daughter of Richard and Attie Caldwell Sheldon. She and L.R. "Pete" Crain were married May 5, 1934, in Advance. He died Oct. 17, 1991.

Crain was a member of the United Methodist Church, and Advance Chapter 412 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Richard Crain of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Beverly Friedrich of St. Louis; two sisters, Elsie Rhodes of Advance, Jean Ward of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. today. Eastern Star rites will be at 7.
