BELTON, Texas -- Mertha Louise "Mickey" Miller, 64, of Belton, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, at Crestview Manor in Temple, Texas. She was formerly of Cape Girardeau and Benton.
She was born March 27, 1935, at Elco, Ill., daughter of Millard Wardell and Faithe Deloris Poole Miller.
She and Edgar E. Cooper were married Oct. 19, 1974, at Las Vegas, Nev. He died July 27, 1984.
She worked as a geriatric nurse in the home health care field before retiring in 1993. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her mother, Faithe Erasmus of Belton; three sons, Tommy W. Cheshire and Tony A. Cheshire, Gregory E. Cooper of Seoul, Korea; a daughter, Cathy Faye Cheshire; two brothers, Allen W. Miller of Belton and Jerry R. Miller of Murray, Ky; and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Parish prayers will be said at 7 p.m.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dan Schulte officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
