Merlin Mouser

Merlin O. Mouser, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Otis B. and Daisy Stephens Mouser.

Mouser was a dietary aide 14 years at Southeast Missouri State University, and 32 years at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Survivors include his mother of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dora Briggs of Mounds, Ill.; three brothers, Stanley and Avery Mouser of McClure, Ill., and Rodger Mouser of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
