PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Melvin Lewis Moore, 49, of Chicago died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at St. Agnes Nursing Facility in Chicago.
He was born March 7, 1955, in Portageville, son of the Rev. Rea and Roberta Morrow Moore.
Moore was a graduate of Portageville High School, and had lived in Chicago more than 25 years.
Survivors include his father of Portageville; four brothers, J.C. Morrow of Chicago, Elmos Moore of Columbus, Ohio, Odell Moore of Richton Park, Ill., Calvin Moore of Portageville; two sisters, Lucille Chillers of Portageville, and Earsie Moore of Sikeston.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church in Howardville, Mo., from noon until time of service today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Charles Bell officiating. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant, Mo.
Williams Funeral Home at Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
