SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Melvin D. Choate of Ramona, Calif., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Charles Lance will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. today.
Choate, 33, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at his home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1964, in St. Louis, son of James and Yvonne Eads Choate Sr.
Choate was an installer at Joe's Radio Shop.
Survivors include his father of Dallas, Texas; his mother and stepfather, Yvonne and David Palmer of Piedmont; two brothers, James Choate Jr. of Fenton, Keith Choate of Aurora; two sisters, Cheryl Krause of Ramona, and Terri Allen of Caledonia.
