CHARLESTON -- Melvin C. Hedge, 50, of Charleston, died Monday, July 27, 1992, on Charleston Route 3. He was born March 11, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of Martin George and Hattie Lenora Moore Hedge. He and Bertha Vinson were married July 1, 1961. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Marty Hedge of Bertrand, David Hedge of Charleston; four daughters, Rhonda Passley of Charleston, Kim Riley of Wyatt, Tina Hedge of Washington, D.C., Sheila Vinson of Hiram, Ga.; five brothers, Bud Hedge of East Prairie, Alvin Hedge of Rolla, Donald Hedge of Double Springs, Ala., Tommy Hedge of Forest, Miss., Jimmy Morrow of Elco, Ill.; six sisters, Betty Norman of St. ...

He was preceded in death by a daughter and sister.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
