Melburne Francis "Bud" Hedge, 70, of East Prairie died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
He was born May 11, 1935, in Mississippi County to George and Hattie L. Moore Hedge. He and Matilda Ann "Tillie" Poley were married Dec. 2, 1954.
Hedge was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Eddie Hedge of Springville, Tenn., Dean Hedge of Festus, Mo., David Hedge of Sikeston; a daughter, Kathy Johnson of Arnold, Mo.,; a brother, Jimmy Morrow of Mill Creek, Ill.; six sisters, Mary Kinder of Thebes, Ill., Betty Norman of St. Louis, Bonnie Pinter of Elco, Ill., Barbara Comans of Bogalusa, La., Opal Comans of Pearl, Miss., Karen Hedge of Cecil, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Shelby Chapel. The Rev. George White will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in East Prairie.
