SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Medrith Walker of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ted Wimberly will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Walker, 79, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 1995, in Corinth, Miss.

She was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Rosebud, Ark., daughter of Flery C. and Nellie H. Dean Troxell. She married Charles W. Walker, who died in 1971.

Walker had been an Avon representative, and member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Walker of Corinth, John Walker of Woodbridge, Va., Don Walker of Caruthersville; a daughter, Brinda Walker of Woodbridge; a brother, J.D. Troxell of Dexter; five sisters, Reba Murray, Cordia Seabaugh of Fredericktown, Maria Whybark of Carmi, Ill., Doris Gaines of Bloomfield, Lola Mossman of Milan, Tenn., and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Geroldia Hicks.
