BLOOMFIELD -- Mayme E. Launius, 95, of Virginia City, Nev., died Monday, June 24, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev. She was born Sept. 1, 1900, at Bloomfield, daughter of L.L. and Mary Waddle Boyles. She and Walter Launius were married May 11, 1927. He died Jan. 29, 1984...

BLOOMFIELD -- Mayme E. Launius, 95, of Virginia City, Nev., died Monday, June 24, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev.

She was born Sept. 1, 1900, at Bloomfield, daughter of L.L. and Mary Waddle Boyles. She and Walter Launius were married May 11, 1927. He died Jan. 29, 1984.

Launius had been a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell Telephone. She moved to Virginia City in September 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Delores White of Virginia City; three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three infant children.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Bloomfield.
