ORAN, Mo. -- Maybelle Blissett, 80, of Oran died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Tiplersville, Miss., daughter of Franklin and Mabrie Thomas Moore. She and Johnnie L. Blissett were married April 23, 1942, in Twist, Ark.
Blissett was a member of Divine Temple Church of God.
Survivors include her husband; 10 sons, Johnnie and Joseph Blissett of Bowling Green, Ky., Aquilla, Charles, Michael, Phillip and Lee Blissett of Oran; B.J., Franklin and Douglas Blissett of Sikeston, Mo.; five daughters, Mary Bean and Jo Ann Blissett of Sikeston, Betty Blissett of Oran, Linda Smith of Fulton, Mo., and Virginia Blissett of Wyatt, Mo.
She is also survived by a brother, Robert Garrett of Los Angeles; three sisters, Nellie Howard and Earnestine Gorder of Brawley, Calif., Novella Johnson of Beloit, Wis.; 34 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Divine Temple Church.
The funeral will be at noon Thursday at the church, with Johnnie L. Blissett II officiating. Burial will be in Divine Temple Memorial Gardens.
Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
