ANNA, Ill. -- May Parks, 95, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., formerly of Anna, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Heartland Care in Boca Raton, Fla. She was born Jan. 7, 1909, in Wetaug, Ill., the daughter of William and Lula (Heshung) Kearney. She was united in marriage on March 22, 1927, to Marion "Dink" Parks, and he passed away May 22, 1994...

ANNA, Ill. -- May Parks, 95, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., formerly of Anna, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Heartland Care in Boca Raton, Fla.

She was born Jan. 7, 1909, in Wetaug, Ill., the daughter of William and Lula (Heshung) Kearney. She was united in marriage on March 22, 1927, to Marion "Dink" Parks, and he passed away May 22, 1994.

Mrs. Parks had worked as a bookkeeper in a steel manufacturing company.

She is survived by one daughter, Marian Tienstra of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; one son, Dr. Leo Parks of Seattle, Wash.; eight grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Crader of Nashville, Ill., and a nephew, Larry Ray Kearney of Dongola, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the Anna Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Parks officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Lung Society or Sunshine Inn.
