DEXTER, Mo. -- Maxine G. Wilcox, 100, of Fredericktown, Mo., died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown.
She was born Nov. 5, 1900, at Dexter, daughter of Extine Walter and Mary O'Shea Gholson. She and Harry M. Wilcox were married March 18, 1927, at Dexter. He died April 30, 1966.
Wilcox was formerly of Dexter and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dexter.
She served in the U.S. Navy during World War I.
Survivors include two sons, Harry Wilcox Jr. of Yuma, Ariz., Walter "Dick" Wilcox of Wentzville, Mo.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Steve Clayton will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
