ANNA, Ill. — Maxine Reed King, 89, of Anna died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born May 19, 1918, at Higby, Mo., daughter of Clyde E. and Pattie Lucy Boyd Reed. She and Robert P. King were married March 4, 1942, at Tacoma, Wash. He died July 16, 1988.
King is survived by a daughter, Patricia Tokarski-Seay of Urbana, Ill.; a son, Tim King of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.
She was a member and past deacon of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Anna, a member and past treasurer of the Women's Association of the church. She was retired from Anna-Jonesboro Community High as a secretary and was a past member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Carstens officiating. Interment will be in the Anna cemetery.
