MAXINE DEAN

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Maxine Elizabeth Dean of East Prairie will be held at 3 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. The Rev. Bob Williams will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dean, 72, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 3, 1925, at Dorena, daughter of Guy Thomas and Lucy Doss Byassee. She and Beach Albert Dean were married March 2, 1942. He died May 13, 1969.

Dean was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Guylend Dean of Rockford, Ill., Beachie Dean of Charleston, Roy Dean of Pekin, Ill.; three daughters, Mary O'Guinn of Pekin, Lucy Mars and Cindy Minehart of East Prairie; a brother, Lonnie Byassee of East Prairie; a sister, Guynell Thurman of East Prairie; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
